We’ve released a new MagicTask update focused on smoother billing, faster performance, better workspace controls, improved task navigation, cleaner UI details, and stronger productivity workflows.
This update also includes improvements across comments, onboarding, project folders, realm visuals, sound effects, permissions, and overall platform stability.
Billing & Payment Improvements
We improved billing flows to make payments, trials, and workspace switching more reliable.
- Added support for Stripe coupon codes.
- Improved the admin payment flow after the free trial ends.
- Fixed an issue where workspace projects did not update correctly when switching workspaces from Billing.
Performance & Loading Improvements
We made MagicTask faster and more responsive across important workflows.
- Improved overall loading behavior during app startup.
- Fixed performance issues with the boss fight video playback session.
- Fixed a “Chest has already been opened” error.
- Improved drag-and-drop performance when moving projects into folders.
- Improved Workspace Members pagination performance for faster loading.
Productivity & Navigation Updates
We added new improvements to help users move faster and work more efficiently.
- Added the ability to pin section headings and columns so users can always see where they are while working.
- Added the ability to create a new section below an existing section using the three-dot menu.
- Added draft comments, so unfinished comment text is saved when users exit and return later.
- Added support for navigating between tasks using arrow keys.
- Added support for scrolling up and down using arrow keys.
- Fixed an issue where data could be lost after pressing Enter and continuing to type.
- Fixed an issue where the task details sheet stayed open after switching projects.
Comments & Media Improvements
We improved comment usability and fixed several comment-related UI issues.
- Fixed hidden comments while editing comments in the Minimalistic Realm Dark Dungeon.
- Fixed UI issues with the comment send button in the Futuristic Realm Glitch Dungeon.
- Improved comment draft behavior so users do not lose unfinished text.
Workspace & Permission Improvements
We improved workspace controls and member permissions.
- Added the ability to remove deactivated members from a workspace.
- Fixed an issue where workspace members were unable to add members to a project.
- Improved the Date Joined and Last Login columns so member details display in one line.
- Improved member-related workspace settings for a cleaner management experience.
Project Folders & Drag-and-Drop
We improved project folders and drag-and-drop behavior.
- Improved dragging and dropping projects into folders.
- Fixed an issue where the delete option was not visible for folders in the Minimalistic Realm Dark Dungeon.
- Improved visibility and usability of folder actions.
Onboarding Improvements
We improved onboarding screens and first-time user guidance.
- Fixed forgot password issues on the onboarding login page.
- Added a first-task achievement popup that congratulates users after creating their first task and encourages them to complete it to unlock a reward.
- Updated onboarding options to appear in alphabetical order.
- Updated the options shown for “What are you planning to use MagicTask for?”
Gamification & Sound Updates
We improved the MagicTask gamification experience with better sound and visual feedback.
- Updated music levels across all music files in the system.
- Added a sound effect when earning a chest.
- Improved the Enter Realm button to make it more attractive.
- Fixed boss fight video playback issues.
- Improved the reward experience around first-task completion.
Realm & Dungeon UI Fixes
We cleaned up several visual issues across the Minimalistic and Futuristic realms.
- Fixed UI issues in the Board view of the Minimalistic Realm Dark Dungeon.
- Fixed text visibility issues in Project Details for the Minimalistic Realm Light Dungeon.
- Improved visibility of the three-dot menu next to project folders in the Minimalistic Realm Light Dungeon.
- Fixed a UI issue where the folder delete option was not visible in the Minimalistic Realm Dark Dungeon.
- Fixed an issue where the invite member search bar did not display text correctly in the Minimalistic Realm Dark Dungeon.
- Fixed comment edit visibility issues in the Minimalistic Realm Dark Dungeon.
UI Polish & Usability
We made several smaller improvements to make MagicTask cleaner and easier to use.
- Made the left-hand menu expandable by users.
- Improved the visibility of key buttons and menu actions.
- Improved UI consistency across workspace, project, onboarding, and realm screens.
